difference between absence quota generation reports

hi sap gurus,

can u tell me the difference between RPTQTA00 and RPTIME00 reports.both r used to generate quotas automatically, then what is the differnce between them.

Hi

RPTQTA00 is a program that is used to generate quotas once (in advance) and there is no automatic recalculation. An adjustments to the entitlment must be performed manually. The entitlement is based on the employee's data for the previous year.

RPTIME00 uses function QUOTA and is run using a schema - either one of the standard or a client schema created for client specific rules. The accrual can be done monthly, daily, weekly or annually (or other period as required) - and is given to an employee at the end of the accrual period. It is based on employee data, but if that data changes retrospectively, then the leave accrual will be automatically recalculated (at the next time when time evaluation is run). RPTIME00 should be scheduled to run on a regular basis and can be executed by using transaction code PT60. You can configure personnel calculation rules to accrue complex leave that might not be able to be configured fully in the quota tables.

RPTQTA00 : This method is particularly suitable if you want to allocate your employees entitlements in advance of a leave year and then offset them when you generate the new annual entitlement. It is Quota generation without Time evaluation and u maintain Time Mgmt Status 0...

RPTIME00: Quota Generation with time evaluation.... and Time Mgmt ststus will be any value apart from 0. Time balances and wage types are formed in RPTIME00's rule processing with the help of Schema

RPTIME00 performs the general control of time evaluation ie valuates employee time data.Time balances and wage types are formed in RPTIME00's rule processing.

RPTQTA00 report to accrue time off entitlements automatically for groups of employees or individual employees. They are then saved as records of the infotype (2006).

RPTIME00 is Time Evaluation Report not same and Fixed Quota Generation as RPTQT00...
