[sap qm] INSPECTION PLAN VALIDITY DATE

Hi QM Experts!

How do i change the validity date of an inspection plan without using a change number? The lots created has a posting date prior to the validity of the inspection plan. Therefore, the LOT has no inspection plan assigned. I have to manually changed the key date of the lot. How would i adjust the validity date of the inpection plan so that it automatically uses the inspection plan assigned.

I would appreciate if someone could help me.

Palad,

It's a common scenario which everyone goes through.This is what i do when i face this situation.Goto-qp01,type in the material number and plant.Change the key date to match your Lot key date .Then before you enter there is an option to copy from ....click that option and the copy from your same inspection plan which has the previous validity date .In this way you will have the same operations with the same plan but just a different key date.Please let me know if this worked and reward points.Thanks
