Batch Input for Physical inventory Process

Can any one please tell us what is the batch input process for the Physical inventory .

Like MI31...When we need to apply for it ..For what business process ?

Hi,

In some industries, you do an annual physical inventory. If you have 100000 materials you don't want to create the inventory documents manually -> you can create the documents automatically via batch-input and transaction MI31.

Batch input can be used for cycle counting, which works on ABC analysis so that system creates physical inventory document through batch input.
