activate business area problem

Dear All.

My company has used SAP for two years,now my company add one new business, in order to differentiate the new business from the old business and have different financial statement for two businesses.I want to use business area function,but I have the below problem.

for balance of the old business,there isn't business area ,what should I do to

transfer the balance to correct business area?
