Very behind on Kernel / SPAM... Need help!!

HI,

We are very behind in kernel and SPAM. we are on 620 kernel and 0022 spam. I would like to know if we'd wanna upgrade, since the latest kernel is 7... can we upgrade directly to 7 kernel and spam or I have to upgrade spam of 620/0022 to 23 and upgrade kernel from 620 to 640 along with suport packs of 640 and then move forward to 7?

What do you mean by that? full upgrade? I didnt get it. can you please explain in details.

You can't use support packs to upgrade from 620 to 700. The platform and application server (at an structural level) are too different and require an implementation level upgrade (i.e. you can't just put in a disk and "upgrade" since you have to account for differences in configurations and programs).

Only 640 is backwardly compatible with the 620 systems. You will need a full SAP upgrade to go to 7.00 from 6.20 based systems.
