Hi,
We have a very strange problem. We have recently upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. When I try to open a report directly in excel with SAPGUI(excel view), everything looks ok. The huge Office 2007 menu is nicely integrated in SAP GUI. But when I switch window, so that SAPgui with excel inside looses focus, the excel 2007 hides the menu.
I have tried other reports, and other computers, I have patched SAPGUI 710 to patchlevel 4, and nothing seems to work.
Can anybody help me with this?
We are running SAP R/3 Enterprise with patchlevel 62 on the basis component.
Regards Bjørn
Has the hotfix been released for this yet?

This is SAP's response to the OSS message we opened on the same issue:
"This is a known problem and it is being worked by Microsoft.
A fix for this issue will be available only after February.
The problem is being worked on in development as bug #20722
Since we can't keep this message open till February(because issue is there in Microsoft end and not in SAP ), I'd like to ask you to confirm this message."
Hope this helps!
Fabienne

In a nutshell:
it is a known problem;
can be reproduced even without SAP;
tools and testprograms through this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311765
this subject has been in discussion at SAP for quiet a while;
it is not sure when there will be a solution for this problem;
there is no SAP Note for this issue;
I'll sould reply weekly to the OSS-Note to ask for the status

"http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311765".

Hello,
we have the same problem. It seems to be an Excel issue, because the same thing happens when using GUI 6.40 in combination with Excel 2007.
Michael, could you please post here if you get a response to the OSS Note.

Hi,
It's god to know that others encounter the same problem. I doubt that it has anything to do with excel 2007(or at least hope so), but it seems like excel goes to "full screen".
