No Purchase Requisition Generated after MRP Run MD02

Hi All,

After runing MRP Run MD02 for finish product with MRP Control parameters for create purchase requisition as 1 (Create Purchase Requisitions) . System is not generating any purchase requisitions for raw materials required for assembly.

If we select 3 create planned order system is able to generate planned orders for raw materials required for assembly.

Plz guide why am not able to generate purchase requisition directly.

Hi,

Please input '2' in create pur.req. under MRP control parameters in Md02 screen.

and check the same.

If solved please close the thread.

If i use 2 in MRP Control parameters in MD02 still no requirements are genarated.

hi,

during mrp run as you generated order for the finish product with quantity, this demand triggers mrp which exploded BOM, the required material with quantity for finish product gets check,if there is no available quantity leads to generation of purchase requisition for raw material. hence check BOM & stock at storage location.

Hi Sipra,

Did you maintain Source List for this material ?

If not please maintain. TC is ME01.

In that make sure that in the field " MRP " choose value 1 or 2 ( Record Relevant for MRP )

Wish this will solve your problem

In development server we have not maintained Source list even though we were able to generate purchase requisition directly.

Now in quality server we are not able.

Hii Sipra,

Which key are you using on MD02 screen for "Create purchase requistion"? And I would suggest you to close this thread as it has become so lengthy. Please post a new thread and check different solutions.

Check in MRP1 view, whether you have maintained any value in Plant specific material status.

Check in basic data view, whether you have maintained any value in X-Plant material status.

After you run MRP, are you getting any message?

Are you using any MRP group in the material?

Couple of checks,

1. Check whether the Material is defined for "F" - External Procurement in MRP2 view of the material master.

2. Check whether the material type used for the material is enabled for "External Purchase orders". Transaction OMS2.

if procurement type for the ssembly is maintained "F-External procurement"ill not create the PR for raw materials of that assembly.

So pls make it sure that the procurement type for the assembly should be "E-Inhouse Production".

SFG is X,

2. one more option is u can convert planned order to purcahse requistion. plz check is it possible in your case.

Hi,

Please check if already there is stock of the raw material maintained in the system. If the available stock is sufficient for the order quantity, then the system will not generate purchase requisition. Run MD04 and check order tree for the material for which you are doing the MRP run. system will show if there is stock available.
