Partial Master data and historical Data

Hi Team,

When we are bringing in HIstorical data say billing invoices.

And decide to not bring in all the customer Master data for some reason.

Do we see any concern with tat except for the Master data Attributes/texts not being available for reporting.

Thanks for your time

Andy

So all transactional data will be loaded but not all master data...is my assumption right ?

Is that so - You can still have Master Attr/Texts checked in Infoobject but set the Infopackage settings to " Always Update data even if no master data exists for the data " this way you will have some master data if not all.

If you uncheck these in Customer - You will have no master data at all in reporting.

Yes,

The infoobject and Info package settings are the same a s you mentioned.

Apart from the Master data not being available for certain customers, there shouldn't be any other concern rt?

That was my impressin too, but jsut wanted to double check.

Thanks

I dont see any issues, but even though some of the customers wont be available in ur masterdata table, the system woudl create SID's for the same (if there are transactions for that customers in ur transactional load)
