Upgrade to BI 7.0 from BW 3.5 - Impact on Functions & Macros in Workbook ?

Hi all,

We have a couple of workbooks with <b>Functions</b> and <b>VBA Macro</b> and we are planning for BI 7.0 Upgrade from BW 3.5.

What will be the impact with these Functions and Macros in Workbooks, PLEASE?

Hi,

Regarding BEx workbooks with macros, I guess you will have to build those from scratch. Some of the macros will not have to be used since you have some functionality in standard solutions. some of the macros will have to be rewriten.

Hi Venkat,

As per Prakash's blog, they (SAP) suggest that you revisit these after the migration to check that the VB functionality is intact, or you may need to make some changes in the code to get it working again. There is no automatic migration functionality for the macros in workbooks.
