I did an SP on NW04s recently and I only needed JSPM for the JAVA side.
So is JSPM completely replacing SDM?
Points guaranteed. Thanks!
Hi Jennifer,
No,JSPM is not replacing SDM.
JSPM is a new tool added in NW04S.It is not there in NW04.
When you run JSPM -SDM is running behind it.With out SDM -JSPM will not work.
With JSPM we can run JAVA Supportpackage stack in a single run.
But in SDM we need to run the supportpackages one by one.
This is the main differnce between SDM and JSPM.

Not at this time. JSPM internally calls SDM to perform deployment of SCA's.

Hi Jennifer...
JSPM... is the tool for Patch/Update the Java components... and SDM Repository contains the registered Software Component Archives (SCAs) and Software Deployment Archives (SDAs)... so i think it does replace SDM
