Table growth

Former Member

Hi,

We are running PI 7.0 and trying to understand/control our database growth. I have the archive/delete jobs running properly but I am stll seeing table SWPCMPCONT to be very large. This table alone is 33GB on the system.

Is there a way to clean up this table?

Thanks,

Lee

Samanjay,

Thanks for you input on that. You are correct and the workitems are not automatically included in the archive/delete procedures. I have setup deletion jobs to clean that up and it has helped some. There are still some other database growth issues that are showing up that I am trying to control. Man, SAP sure didn't make archive/delete very straight forward.

Thanks,

Lee

Hi,

What are the archive objects that you are currently archiving? Are you archiving the object WORKITEM? If not then you should archive WORKITEM to reduce the size of table SWPCMPCONT.

Hope this helps

Cheers!
