J2EE chrash, how to monitor and identify problems?

Dear all,

we're experiencing frequent J2EE server chrashes with our CRM Internet Sales servers. However, it seems to be impossible to identify the cause of the problem. Even SAP Support has no clue what is happening. The server is now running in debug mode but still the logs show no specific error. Sapnote 807000 describes the problem, but the solution does not work.

SAP CRM 4.0 SP8

WebAS Abap 6.20 SP50 with 6.40 kernel

ISA runs on J2EE 6.40 SP11

My question is the following: what is the best procedure to identify J2EE server crashes (preferably when connected to SAP backend). Which tools (JProbe, CCMS etc)

Much obliged

Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Please check the processes jcontrol and jlaunch at the OS level. If they are not working J2ee is down.

You may find the cause and solution in SAP Note 741289
