Sqaure feet UOM with decimals

Dear All,

In our business scenario, we are selling apartments. In the product/material master we would like to maintain following measurements of area against each apartment(material):

935.77 FT2

1565.35 FT2

10000.52 FT2

We sell the apartment using the UOM 'EA'. Currently we round off the Area of Apartment and use as

936 FT2 = 1 EA.( Actual area 935.77).

Can anyone suggest what conversion factors need to be adopted inorder to have the decimals.

Regards

Rasheed

Hi Rasheed,

1 ft = 0,3048 m > 1 ft2 = 0,092903 m2

127 * 10566,33 = 866484,1 ft2 = 80499 m2

You can define:

80 499 m2 = 127 EA

(I don't know whether SAP knows the rate ft / m - you should check it)

Hi,

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/12/3bb7c2504811d182c20000e829fbfe/frameset.htm

That's why I think you can use only 5 digit for fields X & Y on the Unit of measure screen.

If you want to define a number as rate more than of 5 digit I guess you shoul define it as result of a division.

10566,33 ft2 is 10566 ft2 + 1/3 ft2 I suspect.

3* (10566 + 1/3) ft2 = 31 699 ft2 >> this is a number of 5 digit, you can use it for the definition (31 699 ft2 = 3 EA).

I haven't got better idea.

Hello Rasheed,

Please try:

93 577 FT2 = 100 EA or something similar.

Hi Csaba,

That will work only for my first scenario. For values greater than that how do I handle.
