what is the use of infotypes in hr-abap?why we r using infotypes?

Hi,

The personnel master data, time management and applicant data data fields are grouped to infotypes according to logical aspects.

The data fields of HR master data, time management and recruitment are grouped logically into information types or infotypes for short.

Examples of infotypes are "Family/Related Person", "Organizational Assignment, "Basic Pay".

The following naming conventions apply to infotypes:

Infotypes 0000 to 0999 are used for HR master data

and sometimes for applicant data

Infotypes 1000 - 1999 for organizational management

Infotypes 2000 - 2999 for time data

Infotypes 4000 - 4999 for applicant data

Infotypes 9000 - 9999 for customers

infotype are used for HR module in SAP..........it has tables starting with

PA0000-PA1999 for Personal Administration

PA2000-PA2999 for Time related infotypes

HRP1000-HRP1999 for organization related infotypes

PA9000 onwards Customer developed infotypes
