Hi Pradeep i am sorry i toatally fogot to attend your doubt on Permits
Permits are a special authorisation issued to particular tardesman to carry out a particular work Or job
Example: To work on some specialised equipment not all the tradesman allowed,
like in india electriacians have to be given a pernit(or licence) to work on 11 KV ytransmission system this the permit which you are refererimg to.
Only people with certain skills are ''permitted"' work on certain equipment or "'Tasks"'
Thanks and regards
Krishna

Dear All,
i have done all the settings for WCM. but when i am creating a work clearance application the approval indicator is GREEN instead of RED & it has no permits assigned.
What i have missed out. please throw some light on it.
Thanks in advance

The Concept of Work Clearance management is widely used in aviation Industry,
The aim of this business process- In maintenance of a very big complex machinery,
Normally deferent tradesman work
ex:Electrical, Mechanical,Hydraulics,radio,radar
For example if a hydraulic system is to be tested the main electrical system is to be put on, If some componenet of electrical system are removed for servicing, And still the system can be put on.and the tradesmen inadverantly puts on the electrical system, this will cause a major accident, So unless the electrical tradesman gives work clearance to the Hydraulic tradesman the hydraulic tradesman canot work on hydraulicsystems.
So when we configure the PM the equipments and the functional locations and the objectlinks are created,
When we release amaintenance order these things should be noted to in the EDP
1. The task list,
2.Sequence of removal.
3.work Clearance management,
this a very important Submodule for safety of personal, equipment, and for the accountabilty aspect in the event of mishaps,
