Trough revenue cost element all revenue of customers will be transfered to CO when you post to sales account.
About COPA you need to assign value fields and quantity fileds

If we implement Costing based COPA system will automaticallly genrate 4 main tables
CE1XXXX Actual data
CE2XXXX Plan data
CE3XXXX segment data
CE4XXXX Segment table
we create characterstics and value fields in operating concnern. now how populate values in these charactersticks and value fields.
Trough Derivation rule we populate values in charactersitcs
value fileds will be populated via following path
spro>controlling>profitability analysis>flows of acutal values>transfrer of billing docusmts>Assgin value fields and qty fields
when ever you generate the billing document system wil update the COPA docuyemt.
