For raising an alert you need to first configure the alert please follow the below weblog written by Michal Krawczyk

Configuration steps are: go to transaction ALRTCATDEF

1) Define Alert Category

2) Create container elements which are used for holding an error messages.

3) Recipient Determination.

Alert can be triggered in different ways.

1) Triggering by Calling a Function Module Directly.

Kalyani,

Please check for michael blog for this. I am sure you would get nice blogs on this if at all you would have searched in the blogs.. SAP documentation has clear guidelines on how to create alerts..

Hi,

First u have to create the Alert category in ALRTCATDEF trancation code and after doing that in RWB u have to create the Alert Rules for that.

i dont have screen shots to create the Alert category because in my project that was done by onsite.I have create the Alert rules in my project if u want i can explain how to create it.
