NetWeaver License for Web Services?

Dear All,

Could you please let us know ,

a) How NetWeaver license if determined ?..is it per run-time enginee..instance..etc?

b) If third-party applications are calling Web Service hosted on NetWeaver is there any change to the licensing cost ?

Any links to documents/blogs..etc would be really helpfull.

Hi,

a) The generic case is that the license price is per user.

b) Yes, if the web services are executed by a generic user, but are called from a web application with many users, these users are considered SAP users for the license price. You have to negotiate with SAP the price of these users.

In real life, each customer has a different contract (and so prices) with SAP...
