Background job not getting cancelled

Hi All ,

I am trying to cancel today a MM background job whose status is active from the last 2 days by using tcode sm37 menu Job -> cancel active job.

But the job is not getting cancelled. I have also noticed that in one of my application servers , the MM report that runs in the background for this job has occupied the background work process. So Is it relevant to kill the Process first and then try to cancel the active job. But anyhow I want to cancel the active job.

Please suggest me on this issue.

Hi Gaurav,

Please cancel the corresponding work process using SM50. Choose cancel with out core option.Once the work process is terminated the background job will automatically get cancelled.
