Master Data - SH

Hi,

No master data for SH but material to be delivered at his place.

Eg. A dealer places order asking to delivery at a project site, for which we dont have master data.In this situation how to go further. Pls advice?

Address in Sales order comes from the customer master data and the same is copied to all the partner functions. In your case SH address is different from that of SP, but you don't want to mantain a separate master data for it.

Then in that case you simply change the SH party address in sales order partner tab. Changes to partner address (Could be SH, BP or PY) in a sales order is stored with a new address number, and is specific to that sales order only. Customer master will not be updated with these changes and its address remains same.

This way you can deliver a product to a different address from that of your SP with out even creating a SH master data.

Hi Vijay

If you want to record the ship to party details in SAP, you have to assign those customers in customer master data. Other wise, you can retain the sold to party itself as ship to party and do billing. In this case, at a later date, if you want to track any particular consignment, it is not possible.

plz get the customer record created of the said customer and assign them as SH to necessary customers.
