RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE

Hi Friends,

I have a problem while establishing RFC from PROD to QA as when i click on test conn i get the following message couldnot establish RFC connection and when i double click the errror msg the following message is dispalyed,

ERROR Connection to SAP gateway terminated (Is SAP gateway closed?)

but when i try the RFC from QA to PROD the test conn is fine but when i click on remote logon it doesnt display the logon screen. can u guys let me know what exactly the problem is.

Hi,

Can You please check the communication user name and password under logon/security which is used for the RFC.Also check whether the communication type is 3 or not.

Hi arun,

The user is DDIC and the connection type is 3. all those things are fine as other RFC's works only PROD to QA.

Hello Naresh,

On RFC Connection enter the ip address of your QA system instead of your system name.

This error means that from production system you are not able to communicate your quality system

I already tried entering the IPadd of the QA sys but it still doesnt work. any other suggestion that i can try.
