Release strategy transport to test and Production

Hi,

Please tell me how the release strategy is transported to test and Production . there will be so many characteristics and class 032. How the values list will be transported.Is it through any BDC programs or normal transport or any other tools

Hi,

Normally how classification data related to release strategies handled is -

(becuase it is master data) it is not transportable. We always used to handle it in CL24N trsanction, a boon for release strategy. In Production system, if you get access to this master data transaction, you can go ahead and maintain easily.

In our current client, we have totally developed a custom solution that transfers the classification data as well...but it is a very big project. However, I have been using manual maintenanace via cl24n for the past more than a decade. Reward if it helps!

Class and charactristics are master data hence it can not be transported from one server to other

U can use BDC to upload values of this
