How do I recycle the Cluster

Hello:

I just changed the java parameters on the configtool.

Now the config tool says that in order for the changes to take effect, I must recycle the "Cluster" (I am doing JMS work on the J2EE engine).

How do I recycle the Cluster. Is that simply going to the MMC and turning it off and back on again ?

Thanks, John

Just to confirm,

Does stopping "SAP Systems" in the MMC and starting it again recycle the cluster ?

Sorry to be thick headed about this, just need to make sure I got it right.

Thanks, John

Hi John,

yes, recycling in this case means just to restart the cluster. The reason for this is that the changes you make with the config tool are made directly to the configuration data in the database. So, to make your changes "visible" at runtime, you need to restart the cluster (so that cluster elements can bootstrap the changed config data from the DB at startup time).
