Hi Vitthal,

Just an additional from what others have said, please try having hands on experience in building an SAP system since this will cover a lot of Basis/Netweaver administration topics.

Helpful link to learn.

Wish you all the best for your Basis career.

Hello Vitthal,

As per your exp. you have a good base of the system admin part and it would surely help you to grow in the feild of SAP BASIS ADMIN.

http://www.sapsecurityonline.com/

http://help.sap.com

www.sdn.sap.com

These three must be more than enough to start off and end too.

But also we should have a fair knowledge of any database (Oracle, MAXDB, etc.)

All the best for your career.

Hi..

You Can surely go for Basis but all you need is to put little more effort initially as SAP is an ERP.Here terms are little different.Almost all are the concepts of UNIX and Operating systems. It is not difficult to learn these.

Also once you get experience it will be very easy.So first go thru the basiscs of basis at help.sap.com

First go thru R/3 Architecture and then go thru R/3 Hand Book. You will get very good idea abt SAP and how it works.Later start reading various sites or books or PDF files.

Various helpful sites are

http://www.sapdevelopment.co.uk

http://www.sap-img.com/

http://www.erpgenie.com/

https://www.sdn.sap.com

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you

PS :Please award points if this is helpful.
