Hi,

My requirement is i already have a purchase order and i need to update some of the fields in the existing PO, is it possible this scenario using file to idoc because i already have ordchg message type in idoc type orders05. Kindlys suggest.

Kindly any body suggest me what exactly changes i need to make in idoc's and what changes in message mapping.

Hi,

If ur using the same Message type that u have defined in the IDX2 then dont need to change any think u can use that only,some cases it will not work with the same Idoc metadata,at that time idoc will no be posted,if u get such an error the just delete the Message type in IDX2 and reload the Msg type.

Yes it is possible you have to do the modification to the IDOC strucutre and then reimport in the XI, do the necessary changes in the mapping program.

• Make sure you also upadte the IDOC metadata after reimporting into XI, else the Metadata will have the old strucutre if you dnt.

1)u will make necessarychanges to ur IDOC in R/3.

2)reimport that updated IDOC in IR as the structure wud hav changed.

3)make appropriate changes to ur mapping, as the IDOC has changed.

4)activate all changes

5)go to Transaction IDX2 in XI delete the cache for ur IDOC so that it is updated this time ur scenario runs with updated IDOC.
