what is the difference between NW04s SR1 & SR2?

What is the difference between NETWEAVER 2004s SR1 AND SR2?

Any note? or explaination would work..

Afi,

Service Release ( SR ) 1 and 2 are different in Support pack levels .

eg : When SAP release a product say NW , this will be SR1 , SR 1 will be of support stack X and Kernel A . Once a product is newly released there will be bugs/enhancements and SAP will be delivering that as Support packs. So after few months SAP will release SR2 with support stack Y and kernel B , so you don’t have to apply all the support pack on top of SR1 after installation.

So the difference with SR1 and SR2 will be bug corrections and the added enhancements.
