Auto batch no creation in prod.order

Dear gurus,

I have an issue,I am working on STO scenario in that we are creating batch externaly at the time of sales order creation and assign that batch to sales order.

I want that batch number should be assign automaticly to production order whitch I am going create against that S.O.

How it will be possible?

Is there any custumizing setting or need any user exit for it

Please suggest ........

Hi Nilesh,

You can define batch search strategy for Sales order in T. Code: VCH1 with reference to Quotation, Sales order & delivery.

In Quotaion you can reserve your batch for specific Customer.

Dear,

As I know this may not be possible. because you are not creating Production order directly from sales order...it will go through planned order then production order.

However yoyu can assign in production order create screen.

Just try creating production order w.r.t sales order and sales order item in CO08 and check.

I tried through co08, production order created, order is showing S.O. no.but it is not displaying batch in goods issue screen there i have to mention it manualy

so pl suggest how it will be possible.

yes, it is not possible...but you van use user exit during order creation-

Hi,

you can create production order w.r.to sales order in CO07

Try this.
