BOM issue

Hi again!!

My client wants me to cover SAMPLE ENGINEERING BILL OF MATERIAL in SAP system. Infact, they are creating BOMs for those products which might not be apporved by their customer and they discard this BOM. The problmes which are irritating them are follow-

1) It always a lengthy process to correct the BOM till the time its not get freezed. Everytime they need to use tailoring method.

2) As these samples are very few in quantity but attempt to prepare it several times, it directly impact on inventory of SAP system.

3) It is very much possible that freezed BOM of regularized material may not have any item given in SAMPLE BOM.

What are different best practices, I can offer to my client.

Hi,

Best Practise

1) Go for Implimenting ECM

where u can have ur sample BOM and change materials according to the customer requirements.

2) Go with BDC programme and upload the BOM's but it will be manul
