Hi All,

I want to install NWDI. We are using EP 7.0 and NW 2004s SP 09.

I have downloaded the following files from Service Marketplace

1. SAPBUILDT09_0-10003479.zip

2. DICBS09_0-10003500.zip

3. DICMS09_0-10003499.zip

4. DIDTR09_0-10003501.zip

Can anyone let me know the further steps to install NWDI.

Can I install NWDI on the same EP server or do I need a separate server to avoid Performance Issue. Plz forward me Installation guide, if any, at nikhil.bansal2006@gmail.com

Regards

Hi there,

In the first you most deploy these files, using SDM or JSPM:

2. DICBS09_0-10003500.zip

3. DICMS09_0-10003499.zip

4. DIDTR09_0-10003501.zip

After this step the installation is done and you have to do the post installations steps.

Nikhil,

Take a look at the following links:

If you want to use or install the NWDI in order to modify or to use the XSS, you must refer to the PDF Document NWDI Cookbook for XSS. Read the SAP Note Number: 872892 - JDI/NWDI Cookbook for ESS/XSS..

Hi Luciano,

Thx for the useful links.

Full points to you.

Can you answer this ques as well.

Do I need to have a separate server for NWDI. If I use the current EP Server for NWDI installation then what will be the impact on performance.

Plz let me know.

You should use a separate server for the following reason: Deployments may trigger a restart of the runtime system and you do not want your NWDI to be restarted when it's deploying! This might result in an inconsistent state of NWDI.

Hi Nikhil,

Did you manage the installation of those 4 zip files through SDM.

Only one got installed in my case BUILDT.

Please let me know whether you were able to do so.

Thanks.
