Hi,

Actually you should have got this in SAP Help directly...

Anyway, in brief:

In transaction PFTC select your standard task 90310004 and follow the steps after pressing change button:

1.Select Container tab

2. Use Create button , snd enter the relavant texts, proper types etc..

3. Use Properties Tab eneter , import / export properties based on your requirement.

Save this information and there you go !

Hi Akshay,

If i have checked the export for a field in one standard task, can i use the same field value with an import in a different task.

Hi Neslin,

For that , you need to have Both Import and Export flag checked for the container element of a task ( on Tab Properties )as I had mentioned earlier.

Hi Prabhakar,

What i mean is .

Suppose the 'user_name' field is marked as an export parameter in one starndard task which have a value of 'XXX'.

and If i mark the same field as an import parameter in a different standard task can i get the value as 'XXX'.

Please guide.

Yes man you can get it it seems you have some initial value stored if not then you have to do proper binding.

Thanks

Hi,

Containers are used for holding Application data for Workflow purposes.

Event container

Task container

Workflow container

Role container

Binding is the linking of data from one container to the other for making data available all across the workflow.

But you can get values from one container to another container like this

Container(Con)

1. WF Con to Role, Wf con to task con, Wf con to event

and

2. Event con to wf con, task con to wof con

and

3. Method con to task con

and

4. Task con to method con

So, we don't have direct possible binding from task con to task con.

Thanks and Regards,

But you can do pass values from first task con to wf con and again from wf con to another task con

Hi prabhakar,

I have checked the Binding Button.

In that the task container is linked to the method .

Is it the same as the task container-> WF container.

Yaa you have to do the same in the Workflow Level in the Workflow Template design . You have to do the essential binding from Wflow to task also if you are going to use this value in the subsequent steps.

Thanks
