how to convert Base unit of measure to Issue unit

dear all,

stock keeping unit for fabris is KG and the issue unit is Meters,

example:

Intially the fabric 100 kg is kept in the stock (i.e 100kg equal to 100 meters),

but after some period of time the fabric is dried due to atmospheric conditions and then the fabric stock is reduced to 98 kg physically (i.e 98 kg equal to 100 meters).

when i am issuing 10 meters of the fabric material to the prod order ,then how much qty of fabric will be reduced from the stock.

how to make the conversion from base unit of measure to issue unit.

Regards

Srinivas

Hi Srinivasa Rao,

In Material Master / Article Master, you can capture four different unit of measures i.e. Base Unit of Measure, Order Unit of Measure, Sales Unit of Measure and Distribution / Issue Unit of Measure.

Since you have maintained 100 Kgs Stock (base Unit of measure) = 100 Meters. Depending upon your conversion factor, stock will be reduced at the time of Goods Issue.

When you issue 10 meters of the fabric material to the production order, then 10 Mtrs Qty of fabric will be reduced from the stock if you haven’t maintained any conversion factor from Base Unit of Measure to Issue Unit of Measure.
