Can any one tell me please what is the difference between Commercial and Technical units
in Transaction Code CUNI
Thanks
commercial unit: communication of the unit to out side world (vendor, customer, trader etc) .It may be short form for easy communication. It may be normally used in the market / external world.
for ex crate is a material unit ,for that the commercial unit is crt.
but for technical unit , it is for our understanding only.
for the same example of crate the technical unit is crate only.
but most of the cases the technical unit and commercial units are same.
ex:pieces for this technical and commercial unit is pc.

Hi,
Commercial units are the ones you would communicate with your external business partners (like vendor via PO and Customer via SO, delivery etc). However, there are certain units like viscocity of an inprocess stage fluid you would measure (for the purpose of process completion) that can be purely internal and don't require to communicate to external world) can be a technical unit. Some times, your technical unit may need to be defined which can be understood by your laboratory people, for example, even though the communication with rest of the world could be in a generic "commercial unit". Hope, it helps!
Reward if you got the answer
