not able to connect to sAP GUI Server for installation in AIX Machine

I am in the process of installing Nw2004s in AIx Machine,

I have started the GUI Server, Xwindows and startinstgui.

But when the GUI window comes, it it not able to connect to the GUI Server.

The parameters entered are

Localhost

21212

<b>The followinsg is what i did

1. logged in one unix session wiht user root and run ./sapinst. The GUI Server is waiting for connection.

2. logged in another unix session and executes ./startinstgui.sh/</b>

Pls let me know whether i am correct, or is there any other thing to be started

Hi,

do xhost + in the command... also, jet java environment variables.

Also make sure run from root.
