When an Integration Process is executed , the system creates corresponding work items, just like during the execution of an SAP Business Workflow. We can use the transactions for monitoring the Business process engine to display the generated work items in the workflow log as well as display detailed information abou the status of a specific process or its individual steps. It is difficult to monitor individual work items because we are not aware how work items relate to each other. For this process, process monitoring is available in message monitoring

These r the detailed descriptions regarding all types of monitoring :
The central tool for end-to-end monitoring is the Runtime Workbench, which you call from the Integration Builder start page. The Runtime Workbench receives the data for end-to-end monitoring from the Process Monitoring Infrastructure (PMI), which is an SAP monitoring tool for monitoring end-to-end technical processes involving multiple SAP components.
These web-site gives all details regarding End to End Monitoring, Performance Monitoring, Cache Montioring etc.

hi ruchitta,
First two questions are already being answered well.
>>What is End to End Monitoring, Performance Monitoring, Cache Montioring etc.
Ans. In End to End Monitoring u can trace your whole scenario where the bug is actually raised, Performance monitoring is used monitoring the performance effects due to various services and cache monitoring is used for monitoring systems cache as it can also affect performance.it has to be refreshed periodically for better performance.
>> What is a Business System, Technical System, Logical System, and System Landscape Directory (SLD ).
Ans. Business system is the logical name of the client and Technical System define technical details of clients landscape. Both Business system and Technical system need to be well defined in SLD which is sentral repository for both of the systems and administration of components.

In SXMB_MONI we monitor the ABAP stack...
RWB is used to monitor the Java Components...like Adapter Monitoring, Component Monitoring etc.
