A question , but for setup IMG on AS/400 I need programs like Anymail 400 or I can connect and send e-mail to my exchange server through an IP connection with MLUNXSND program ?

Thank you for your help

Hello Vittorio,

Not sure whether I understood your question...

From my understanding, full SMTP support and Anymail/400 are included in OS/400 (in the option TCP/IP support maybe). As long as you can use CHGSMTPA to make SNDDST work, IMG would work.

A great document compiled by Jim Doll from Perrigo and posted by Volker was posted in this forum before.

Thanks I read it, another one thing if I understand correctly the e-mail sending is in charge to MLUNXSND program and this means that when I send a message from sap workflow is this program that send e-mail insted the old SXC connector for exchange ?

I understand correctly ?

Hello Vittorio,

Yes. After you change the configuration in Tcode SCOT to point to the new RFC destination defined in SM59, all the emails will not go through SXC any more.

When I configured it before, I did it in reversed sequence (i5OS SMTP -> SAP kernel program -> SAP GUI transactions), so the downtime was minimum.

Good luck,

Hello Vittorio,

Have you done the AS400 side?

If not, the program on AS400 level would not be "SELW" status as Volker mentioned, and the connection from SM59 would not work. Just continue with the procedure, then check back SM59.

Good luck,

Victor

Ah ok understand SELW like an AS/400 job status.

I check again as/400 side, maybe you intend CL program described on jim doll notes.

Thank you
