Data slices in IP - Urgent

Hi ,

please help me with the below mentioned problem.

In our modeller, we have a characteristic and calmonth in the data slice. I have created a subclass called ztest_class1 which is extending the SAP Provided class cL_rspls_ds_exit_base. We would like to slice the data for a particular combination of characteristics value and month value.

How can we refer the characteristic and calmonth values in the method METHOD if_rspls_ds_methods~is_protected. How can we do the checks based on the incoming structure I_S_Data.

Hi Raj,

Could you please let me know how you have created the subclass extending the standard class cl_rspls_ds_exit_base whose instantiation is 'Protected' ?

Have you created a Global class or a local class..?
