Solman Key required for upgrade

Folks,

I did install exactly same copy of our DEV system in sandbox. Same SID different host name. I have started the ECC6 upgrade. Now that I need to generate the solution manager key, I can not. since same sid exists on DEV environment.

I know I might have to rename the sid. However before doing that I was wondering if there is a way of generating the key?

If not, how do I rename the SID? any idea's.

hi,

logon to ur solution manager system and goto t code smsy and generate a keep for ur system there it will ask u a host name sid all the infrmatio and gives u different key becoz uur having a different host name so a new key will be generated and iam sure it will help u.

You define your system in solution manger and generate Key via T Code SMSY.

than you will found solution manager Key
