No connection to rfc adapter

Hello,

I am trying to setup the rfc adapter of XI 3.0 on a SAP 6.4 System to connect to a SAP 4.7 IDES System. I have setup a communication channel in the Configuration Builder with the rfc adapter and I setup a RFC Destination(Tcp/Ip type) in sm59. But if I test the connection in sm59 I get the these error message:

ERROR program S18_id not registered

LOCATION Sap Gateway on host btsa11 / sapgw06

DETAIL TP S18_id not registered

My communication channel has S18_id as Program-Id and the RFC Destination too. So that should not be the reason. Has anybody a hint for how to debug this error?

Hi Sven,

This error used to come even for me.....make sure tht you have selected 'Registered Server Program'.

I didnt do anything specific.....the error got rectified when i tested the connection many times.:)
