I get this error when using upgrading to 9.2.0.4 (patch 3338289)

sbbiwdev:orabwd 27> opatch apply

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/ops/mgmt/cluster/ClusterException

at oracle.opatch.OPatchSession.<clinit>(OPatchSession.java:170)

at oracle.opatch.OPatch.<clinit>(OPatch.java:133)

OPatch failed with error code 255

Any advice?

On the SAP website it only one file under 9.2.0.4 for HPIA64. ANd that file is a patch.

It seems to me that you are trying to upgrade your oracle to 9.2.0.4 .Usually there will be a CD for this in marketplace. It will be 5-6 files and once downloaded and unzip you will get a CD. Individual files will be patches not patch set that can be applied using Opatch tool. Patch set will we applied using oracle installation gui

Check in the following link

http://service.sap.com/swdc --> Database patches --> Oracle

Thtat is one option, but the other option is getting the files from the SAP website

This is where I got the patch file

I decided to go with the CD software instead of the SAP website.
