CCMS Read Destination: Status: Red

Hello all,

Here's my problem. Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

I am configuring 'System Monitoring' in Solution Manager 'CEN'.

--> I created system, configured RFC to satellite system, assigned logical component and activated the logical system.

--> Now my solution shows up under 'DSWP' or 'SOLUTION_MANAGER'.

--> I opened 'Operations Setup' in DSWP, opened 'Activate Monitoring' and activated the relevant system for monitoring.

--> Below that, I see 'Check CCMS Connectivity'. When I select that, I see CCMS Read Destination, CCMS Login Destination and their statuses. The CCMS Login destination shows a green check mark but, the CCMS Read Destination shows a red lightnig symbol.

I have tested the RFC destination in both SMSY and SM59 for both the RFC destinations. They seem to be ok without any errors or warnings. Through SM59, I have tested authorization also for both the destinations and the test was successful. I am not sure why am I seeing this red alert for CCMS Read Destination. Any help is highly appreciated with relevant points.

Thank you.

Usually we see a red check mark when the rfc isnt working ( SM_<SID>CLNT<CLIENT>_READ ) . In your case the rfc is working so just refresh the screen or go out of the transaction and come back .. it might help sometimes

Thanks

In the satellite system we are on WAS 6.20. I issued the command

SAPCCM4X -status pf=<Instance Profile Path>

And below is what I got as the result:

INFO: CCMS agent sapccm4x working directory is <PATH OF THE WORKING DIRECTORY>

INFO: CCMS agent sapccm4x config file is <PATH OF CSMCONF FILE>

INFO: Central Monitoring System is [CEN]. (found in config file)

                • CCMS agent running on this machine: ********

*

  • sapccm4x with profile <INSTANCE PROFILE PATH>

*

  • registered at central system CEN

  • CCMS version 20040229, 32 bit

  • Process Id 1564

  • relno 7000

  • patchno 117

  • intno 20050900

My question would be, is it OK to install an agent with release number 7000 on a Web AS 6.20?

Thank you.

I have solved this problem myself. Answer to my previous question, 'YES', it is possible to have releas number 7000 on a WEB AS 6.20. And the problem was RFC authorization on the satellite system.

Thank you.
