Change SAPSID only with homo system copy??

Hi,

I need to change a sapsid from PRD to DES so we can then upgrade in a productive copy to ECC 6, Do you know any other way to change the SAPSID rather than homogeneous system copy??

Hi Alberto,

This homogenious copy is the straight method. If you try to rename SID, it's a very tough job.

Thanks for your help, Do you know about any SAP note on how to change the SAPSID not using the copy method?? Now is only curiosity because we decided to do the system copy.

I don't know of any (supported) procedure except a system copy (home and hetero as well).

If you know one: Please provide it here...
