How does MDM support SOA strategies ?
Thank you
Priya
What about SOA strategies in general? Using WS and Java MDM API you can work with MDM as a part of your SOA strategy.

Hi priya,
An MDM strategy is essential for successful SOA :
A service-oriented architecture (SOA) can deliver such benefits as faster application development and the ability to build powerful composite applications. But to fully harness the power of SOA, an organization must effectively manage its information assets. Services whose data sources rely on redundant, inconsistent, inaccurate, or outdated data will not deliver the expected benefits or yield the desired results. Thats why organizations are increasingly implementing a comprehensive master data management (MDM) solution as part of their enterprise SOA strategy. Doing so can eliminate issues with data inconsistency, align enterprise data assets, help disseminate accurate information within and outside the enterprise, and help ensure that SOA initiatives deliver all of their potential benefits.
First step to enterprise SOA
Accelerate new business processes with accurate master data
Unify any data
Unify customer, product, employee, supplier and user defined data with one solution to build robust business processes
Industry Insights
Supports 1Sync(UCCnet, Transora), configurable for other industries
Easy Deployment
Pre-built data models, mappings and iViews

Hi,
1) MDM is a Part of TIBCO's SOA Strategy
2)TIBCO's Collaborative Information Manager is an event-based application that combines data process automation and business rules.
3) Information management needs to be central to the enterprise SOA strategy. Create an abstraction layer for data services is necessary to ensuring both the integrity of information as it moves across systems.
4)TIBCO has addressed the performance problem by including distributed caching, and asynchronous processing of large volumes of data. Because SOA is an inherently distributed architecture.TIBCO's inclusion of a rules engine makes it a good solution for SOA data governance.
