What is the difference between sales organization and sales area?
Hi,
Sales organization is a organisational unit in SD and Sales area is a combination of Sales Organisation,Distribution channel and Division.

Sales Organisation is the organisational unit which responsible for the selling of the product, movement of goods to the customet,customer right of recourse
Sales Area is the combination of three Sales organisational unit, those are Sales
Organisation + Distribution Channel + Division.

Sales organisation is responsible for goods distribution and customer right of recourse. Sales organisation is an organisational unit in SAP. Where as Sales area is consisting of three SO-Distribution Channel-Division.

Hi,
Sales organisation is the organisational unit which takes care of the sales acitivities in sales and Distribution. This is the highest level entity in Sales.
Sales area is the combination of sales organisation, Distribution channel and division. All sales related documents, customer masters.. etc.. will be created in sales areas.
