SAP Netweaver Installation Plan

Hi all,

Apparently, I have SAP R/3 installed in a server (demo), and now, I wish to install SAP Netweaver into the box as well. What is the difficulties that I face, I am not so certain the steps or Installation Plan to have Netweaver installed.

I would appreciate if someone can share with me on what is the pre-requisite, installation steps/plan, and configuration of SAP Netweaver.

What do you mean ?

Netweaver is not a product, so it cannot be installed.

Netweaver is a technological platform on which several SAP products are based on.

Yes, NetWeaver is a technological platform, but it can be installed as a stand-alone product without other SAP applications on top of it.

I recommend reading the SAP NetWeaver Master Guide at http://service.sap.com/instguides.

Thanks for your information. Yes, what I intend to do is to install a stand-alone product without housing other SAP applications, but will have it to be communicating with SAP apps later.

Besides the link http://service.sap.com/instguides give, do you have others relevant documentation on installing a netweaver?

Hi Patrick,

The /instguides location is where SAP keeps all of the relevant installation documentation on SAP NetWeaver.
