sapinst error on HP-UX at start: /usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unsatisfied code

Installing Webas as Java NW2004S on hp-ux with java 1.4.2.09.

when we start the ./sapinst from the installation master, we get the following error. Just the first input screen appears and disconnects with the error.

Any one experienced this? We have tried java 1.4.2.10 once worked, not any more!

Got the same error when executed from different servers also.

When NW2004S as Java installtion fails and re-started, make sure that LD_LIBRARY_PATH is NOT pointing to the newly copied executables.

This resolved the issue.

Hello Mani,

Please refer to note 172747 for HP-UX Operating System kernel parameter recommendations. Furthermore use Installation Prerequisite Checker – note 855498 to check if you have all perquisites. The tool is attached to the note.

Last but not least refer to note 716926 for the recommended JDK version. It is best if you use 1.4.2_15 and have all java fixes for HP-UX.

I’m sorry to refer you to so many notes, but they are all important when installing new server.
