Hello everyone.
Is it possible to save the current state of work( users, objects created, structures, hierarchies...., also all the work I have done in BW so far)? I have to reinstall the complete system. I know this backup of the whole work can be done, but I don´t know the exact procedure.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Vlad,
Just do and offline backup of the whole DB and or proceed with a homogeneous system copy and that will be ok..
What OS/DB are you using?

I got it.
So, the only way I can transport the structure in my case would be an offline backup? in this case, what folders do i have to backup exactly?

Thanks for the fast reply.
I am using SQL Server on Win 2003 Server.
From what I know, there is a transport transaction, that exports and archives the current structures, and can import an archived structure on another system.
Any ideas in this sense?

Hi Vlad,
That sounds like a remote client copy using SCC9... you'll need to install a new system (target system) and have it ready for the remote client copy...
See the profile for the client copy here...
