Dear Friends:
While Trying to post FV60, I am getting the following Error
Account 417000 requires an assignment to a CO object
Message no. KI248
Diagnosis
All given account assignment objects (order, project) are defined as statistical.
System Response
Statistical orders or projects are ignored when FI and CO are reconciled. You must enter a cost center, order, project, or cost object to which the costs are posted for CO postings.
Procedure
Enter a cost center, an order, a project, or a cost object that is not statistical. The posting row affected is 001 and the account is 417000.
Solution worked on:
Account 417000 has a cost element
In T.Code OKB9, Cost element,Profit Center is defined.
How to overcome the problem. Please advise.

Shridhar,
If 411* is cost element, ensure that u enter Cost center in the transaction or set automatic thru OKB9.
if 4111* is revenue element and if COPA is active than enter any characteristic in Profitibility segment.
Regsrds.

On profit center posting is going always as statistical, so if you make automatic account assignment to it, you will still miss real CO object. Assign cost center or internal order which is not statistical, and profit center you have automaticaly deriven from it.

Hi
You would have created a Primary cost element for this account, This needs to be accounted in CO under some cost center, so specify a cost center and oost.
Checkout in FS00, using Edit cost element tab in the top for this account, whether cost element is avaialble or not.
Thanks,
Usha
