hi deepak
Generally task list is used for repeating operations, if you want to perform during certain interval for same operation then you create a task list for equipemnt or functional location , assign to the maintenance plan in which maintenance call object will be generated based on the operations and materials specifed in the task list
you can also attach the task list while creating the order so that plannning of the order will be easy

Hi Deepak,
As mentioned above, task list is nothing but the set of operations which are repeated & followed in the same procedure. It is very much like Work instructions or Standard Operating Procedure.
Work to be done is defined separately for each equipment so equipment task list is used but sometime some operations are not particular to equipments but to a location e.g. Electrical Wiring in Press Shop, here Wire laying task will be a sort of work which is to be used as Func Location task List...
Hope this will help you......

Also.. In pharmaceutical industry where calibration requirements are stringent, you have to use task list specific for equipment and you create equipment task list.
General task is most flexible, and should be used if there are not restriction from engineering, regulatory etc.
Hope this helps-
