sending alerts to a Group (Mail Id)

Hi Experts,

How can we send an Alert to a Group (mail id) instead of sending to individual users from the Alert Framework.

From xi give it a group id...

exchange server or domino server...setup the group with individual recipients..thats an easier config

Just create a role, assign the role to the alert category in ALRTCATDEF and grant it to each user through normal S&A, then users can go subscribe to the alerts within RWB.

You can also configure a shared or private distribution list in SAP Office and then configure the auto-reaction method Recipient as this distribution list. The Recipient-Type ID would be type C or P rather than type U (single address).

Hi,

While Creating ALERT Category u have to give the receipent names,u cant make them into group.when alert is triggered then automatically alert will be send to all the mailids which are assigned as receipents.
