Hi sai,

First thing is which version of sap ur installing?

if Your installing 4.7EE non IDES with 110 extension set it requires

80GB of hard disk

atleast 1GB RAM

if Your going for ECC6.0 Ides with both ABAP+JAVA engine

it requires atleast

DualCore Processor

215 GB of hard disk space in the drive of SAP installation

atleast 2GB RAM

and for ECC installation you need Solution Manager key!

these are some of the things that you require for installation

The latest version of Netweaver demands at least 2GB RAM & 4 GB virtual memory/swap file space. A 100 GB harddisk should be enough. A dual core processor would help speed up your system, but in our case we found very little improvement. For a large system, a second fail-over server with load balancing would be a must.

You have to take in to account the number of simultaneous user for sizing up the RAM.

For sizing of hard disk, maximum number of users should be taken into account. Also, If TREX server is used considerably, another 20-100GB of space may be required. We used a separate server as a TREX server having 100GB of space.

Note:

Standard equation for Sizing: Disk space for TREX data mixed documents = 2 * Size of the Document Set 0.5 + size of the document set x 0.5 x 1.4.eg:2 80 *.5 +80 0.51.4.

A standard instalaltion of SAP ECC requires a 160GB m/c with 2-4GB RAM and 2GHz processor.
